Pilot Officer Alexander Archibald McDonald was a pilot with 438 Squadron during the Second World War. He joined the RCAF in May 1941, stationed in High River, Alberta, as a Flight Instructor. He was called overseas in March 1944 and assigned to 438 Squadron. After the war, he attended UBC, earning a BA and LLB, graduating in 1950. He was a lawyer, prosecutor, and deputy magistrate in Richmond and Vancouver, BC.
